Terms of Service

Another Angle Terms of Service

Effective date: August 1, 2026

These parent-facing Terms describe the current Another Angle product, account model, billing configuration, and deletion behavior.

01

Agreement to the Terms

These Terms explain the rules for using Another Angle and are the version currently presented during parent signup. Attorney review has not been recorded, so they are not approved as final launch legal copy.

When active Terms are required in the product, the server-side legal acceptance system records the exact Terms and Privacy Policy versions accepted by the parent account.

02

Description of Another Angle

Another Angle is an educational Grade 7 math practice platform. It presents practice through student-interest contexts, currently including Launch Certified Basketball topics, and uses neutral section quizzes to check the same mathematics without the interest context.

Current configured services include generated practice problems, visual math interactions, Hint and answer feedback behavior, section quizzes, parent progress dashboard views, problem reporting, and account privacy controls.

03

Parent Account Ownership

A parent account owns the Another Angle account. Public family signup asks for the parent's email address and password; it does not require a parent first name.

Children should not independently create parent accounts. Parents are responsible for supervising student use of student profiles under their account and for keeping account information accurate.

04

Student Profiles

Student profiles exist under the parent account. A student profile may include a student display name or nickname, grade level, selected interests, preferences, practice activity, mastery progress, Hint use, and section quiz records.

The parent controls student-profile deletion from the authenticated account privacy page. Deleting one student profile does not delete the parent account or other student profiles.

05

Account Security

Parents are responsible for keeping their password and account access secure. Another Angle uses server-side session validation and does not require a separate student account during parent signup.

If a parent believes someone else has accessed the account, the parent should sign out, reset the password, and contact support if support contact information is configured.

06

Subscription and Billing

Free access costs $0 and permits each Free student profile to attempt up to 10 practice problems per day across topics. Correct and incorrect submissions both count toward that student's daily total.

The current paid subscription is the Student plan. The Student plan provides paid access for one student profile at $9.99/month per student.

A parent account owns the billing relationship. Each paid student profile has its own Student membership subscription, so a parent with two paid students needs two separate Student memberships.

A single-use Founding Beta invitation grants temporary full access to one selected student profile. It requires no credit card, creates no Stripe subscription, and never converts automatically to a paid membership. When Beta access ends, that student returns to Free access unless the parent separately chooses a paid Student membership.

07

Cancellation

Parents manage Student membership billing through Stripe. A membership scheduled for cancellation remains active through its paid-through period and ends at the close of that period unless its Stripe state changes.

Canceling one Student membership does not cancel access for a different student profile that has its own active Student membership.

08

Refunds

No public refund policy is currently configured, and these Terms do not promise a refund. The existing administrative revenue ledger can record refund records, but it is not a public automated refund flow.

A production refund policy requires business and attorney review before it can become an active promise to parents.

09

Acceptable Use

Use Another Angle only for lawful educational practice and account management. Do not try to bypass authorization, access another household, interfere with the service, scrape protected content, submit false problem reports, upload harmful material, or misuse the product in a way that harms other users or the platform.

Do not include passwords, payment details, private medical information, or other unnecessary sensitive information in problem reports, support messages, or feedback.

10

Intellectual Property

Another Angle owns or licenses the product design, curriculum presentation, software, graphics, text, problem-generation systems, and other platform materials. Parents and students receive a limited right to use the product for personal educational practice while their access is permitted.

Do not copy, redistribute, sell, or create a competing service from Another Angle content or software except where law allows.

11

Problem Reports and Feedback

Students and parents may report problems or provide feedback. A problem report can include the topic, variant, seed, generated problem data, viewport, route, description, and optional screenshot reference so Another Angle can reproduce and fix the issue.

Another Angle may use reports and feedback to improve the product. Reports should describe the issue without adding unrelated personal information.

12

Service Availability and Changes

Another Angle may change, add, remove, or limit features as the product improves. The service may be unavailable during maintenance, outages, provider issues, or development changes.

Another Angle does not promise uninterrupted access or that every topic, quiz, dashboard, report, or administrative feature will remain unchanged.

13

Account Suspension and Termination

Another Angle may restrict, disable, or terminate access for security reasons, abuse, unauthorized access attempts, or violation of these Terms. A disabled account is denied access without exposing internal administrative notes.

Parents may request deletion of a student profile or the entire parent account through authenticated account privacy controls, subject to the deletion and retention policy described below.

14

Educational Limitations

Another Angle is an educational practice platform. It is not a school, accredited course, professional educational diagnosis, replacement for a teacher, or guarantee of grades, test scores, placement, or academic outcomes.

Parents remain responsible for deciding how Another Angle fits with a student's schoolwork, tutoring, or other learning support.

15

Disclaimers

The product is provided for educational practice and may contain mistakes, unavailable features, or changing content. Another Angle uses review, reporting, and certification systems to improve quality, but it does not guarantee that every problem or feature will always be error-free.

Additional legally required disclaimers need attorney review before this document can be activated.

16

Limitation of Liability

A final limitation-of-liability provision has not been configured. Another Angle is not inventing a liability cap, special-damages waiver, or other legal limitation without attorney review.

This missing legal decision is a launch blocker for activating these Terms.

17

Governing Law and Dispute Process

Governing law and dispute-process terms are not configured. Another Angle is not inventing a jurisdiction, arbitration clause, class-action waiver, venue provision, or court process without attorney review.

This missing legal decision is a launch blocker for activating these Terms.

18

Changes to the Terms

Published legal-document versions are immutable in the Another Angle legal system. When wording changes, Another Angle must create a new version and preserve the exact version previously accepted.

Material changes can be configured to require reacceptance before protected product access continues. Formatting-only changes should not force reacceptance unless configured.

19

Contact Information

For questions about these Terms or account support, contact info@another-angle.com.

A legal company name, business address, privacy contact, and attorney-reviewed contact language have not been configured for active production Terms.

20

Account Deletion and Retention

The parent controls deletion of student profiles and the entire parent account through the authenticated Account Privacy page. Student-profile deletion removes the selected student's live profile and learning records without deleting the parent login or other student profiles.

If a student or account is linked to unresolved Stripe billing, destructive deletion may be blocked until that billing relationship is resolved. Deletion does not automatically cancel a subscription or issue a refund.

Entire-account deletion signs out active sessions, deletes student profiles, removes the parent login account from live systems after dependent cleanup steps, and deletes or anonymizes associated records according to the authoritative deletion policy.

Problem reports and analytics may be anonymized and temporarily retained for 18 days after deletion completion for quality, safety, and launch monitoring. Manual payment and refund ledger records, if present, may be retained for 7 years for accounting, tax, refund, and chargeback documentation.

Routine backup copies expire after 30 days under the deletion policy. Restored backups must be processed against deletion tombstones before returning to service.
